What is De-Lamination?

12/21/2017 (Permalink)

Water damage can cause wood warping, mold on materials and carpet damage.

When carpets get damaged it can become stained or molded if certain types of water get soaked in. Another type of damage is where the backing starts coming away from the main carpet weave. This is called de-lamination. It basically separates the back from the top.

Carpets cant be stretched back in place when this happens. So another reason to get the water dried fast, is it can sometimes stop carpet from de-laminating.
